One problem that won’t go away so easily is their relationship with South American drug lord Escobar Gallardo (Robert LaSardo). While Sean takes his job seriously, he frequently has to clean up his arrogant partner’s mistakes. He frequently uses his charms to reel in potential female candidates and will guilelessly do just about anything in pursuit of the almighty buck - lying, stealing, and blackmail. ![]() Sean’s business partner is the sex-craved and morally-challenged Christian Troy (Julian McMahon). He tries as best he can to keep his family together by patching up the relationship with his spiteful wife Julia (Joely Richardson) and maintaining relationships with their rebellious teenage son, Matt (John Hensley), and Annie (Kelsey Batelaan), their young daughter. Wishy-washy Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) throws himself into his work, in part to avoid facing his problems at home. The operation later moves to the glitzy and appearance-obsessed city of Los Angeles. This series follows the lives of two hotshot plastic surgeons who own and operate the McNamara-Troy surgery center in sunny Miami, Florida. Performers include: Dylan Walsh, Julian McMahon, John Hensley, Joely Richardson, Roma Maffia, Linda Klein, Kelly Carlson, Kelsey Batelaan, Jessalyn Gilsig, Bruno Campos, Valerie Cruz, Sanaa Lathan, AnnaLynne McCord, Vanessa Redgrave, Famke Janssen, Portia de Rossi and Robert LaSardo And the dead shall rise: "SouthLAnd" starts second.TV show dates: July 22, 2003 - March 3, 2010."Tell me what you don't like about yourself": Prev."Lost" recap: Yelling Smoke Monster in a crowded t."Burn Notice" finale recap: The Devil You Know.Wanna talk about the Oscars? The final "Nip/Tuck" will likely satisfy fans - even those like me with a love-hate relationship with the series. There's also a storyline focusing on an elderly Japanese porn star.īut that's all par for the course. Of course, the show has its crazy moments, many of them involving Matt McNamara (John Hensley) and the aforementioned life coach Ava (Famke Janssen). ![]() I won't give too much away, except to say the resolution of their conflict is poignant and appropriate - the perfect way to end this tempestuous series. In the final episode, the dysfunctional duo face a cross roads in their personal and professional lives. After so many seasons together, the two actors have the kind of easy rapport that allows them to say volumes about their relationship with a look or sigh. That's mainly due to the still-excellent work of Walsh and McMahon. The push-pull of their volatile but loving relationship has always been an anchor keeping this crazy show just in the realm of believability. Possibly it's due to the always convincing relationship between frenemy plastic surgeons Sean McNamara and Christian Troy (played by Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon). In its final seasons, "Nip/Tuck" has - as I've noted several times - kind of gone off the rails, morphing into a parody of itself (did I mention the death by build-a-bear?). Wednesday and, like the previous episodes, the show's swan song is melodramatic, ridiculous and strangely touching. This is a show that's given us incestuous mutilating rapists, a manipulative transsexual life coach, a robber who dressed as a mime and a death by build-a-bear machine. It bungee jumps from the top while giving you the finger, much like Alicia Silverstone in that Aerosmith video. This is a show that isn't merely content to go over the top. ![]() Is there a show on TV more frustrating than FX's plastic surgery drama "Nip/Tuck"?
